"If
it's being drilled, cut, bored, dug, shaped, milled, stamped, formed, drawn,
or threaded, Greenfield Industries products are hard at work."
Greenfield
Industries is a leading manufacturer of expendable
cutting tools & related products. Greenfield sells thousands of products under the
brand names Acme-Fette,
Chicago-Latrobe,
Cleveland (Cleveland Twist Drill),
Geometric, H&G,
Putnam Tools, Vers-O-Tool,
Bassett, Cle-Line, and Vermont Tap & Die.
Greenfield Industries product lines include drills, end mills,
taps, dies, reamers, countersinks, counterbores, tool bits, & more.
Greenfield Industries traces its beginnings
back to 1872 to Greenfield, MA. Several small tap & die manufacturers joined
together to form Greenfield Industries in the early 1900s. Greenfield grew
rapidly through complementary acquisitions (Cleveland Twist Drill, Rule
Industries, Vermont Tap & Die & many others), & went public in 1995.
Greenfield Industries was acquired by Kennametal in 1997. In 2009 the
company was acquired by Top Eastern Drills. Greenfield's goal remains to
satisfy the marketplace by providing superior cutting tool products
and services through the industrial distribution channel.
